Honey Garlic Glazed Pork Chops

Ingredients :

  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

Préparations :

  1. Prepare the Pork Chops:
    • Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Pork Chops:
    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Glaze:
    • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
    • Add the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well to combine.
    • Let the mixture simmer for about 2-3 minutes, until it starts to thicken slightly.
  4. Glaze the Pork Chops:
    • Return the pork chops to the skillet, turning to coat them in the glaze.
    • Reduce the heat to medium and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, basting the pork chops with the glaze occasionally, until they are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. Serve:
    • Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
    • Serve the glazed pork chops with the remaining glaze drizzled on top.
