Ingredients :
- 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
Préparations :
- Prepare the Pork Chops:
- Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Sear the Pork Chops:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Glaze:
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well to combine.
- Let the mixture simmer for about 2-3 minutes, until it starts to thicken slightly.
- Glaze the Pork Chops:
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, turning to coat them in the glaze.
- Reduce the heat to medium and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, basting the pork chops with the glaze occasionally, until they are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Serve:
- Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the glazed pork chops with the remaining glaze drizzled on top.
