Crab seafood salad

Ingredients :

  • 1 pound fresh crab meat (cooked and picked)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cucumber
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves (for serving)

Préparations :

  • Prepare the crab meat: Make sure the crab meat is cooked and picked, free from shells and cartilage. You can use fresh crab meat or canned crab meat for convenience.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Whisk these ingredients together until they form a smooth dressing.
  • Add the chopped dill, red onion, celery, and cucumber to the dressing. Gently mix all the ingredients together, ensuring they are evenly coated with the dressing.
  • Add the crab meat to the bowl with the dressing and vegetables. Carefully fold the crab meat into the mixture, being gentle to avoid breaking up the crab pieces.
  • Taste the salad and season with salt and pepper according to your preference. Adjust the seasoning as needed until you achieve the desired flavor.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the crab seafood salad for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • To serve, line a plate or salad bowl with lettuce leaves. Spoon the chilled crab seafood salad onto the lettuce leaves.
  • Garnish the salad with some additional dill or lemon wedges for a fresh touch.
