Ingredients :

  • For the Garlic Bread:
    • 1 large baguette or Italian bread
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Pizza Toppings:
    • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
    • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices or any preferred toppings
    • Optional: fresh basil leaves for garnish

Préparations :

Step 1: Prepare the Garlic Bread

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Bread: Cut the baguette or Italian bread in half lengthwise.
  • Make the Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Spread the Butter: Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  • Bake the Garlic Bread: Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, buttered side up. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is lightly golden and the butter has melted into the bread.

Step 2: Add the Pizza Toppings

  • Prepare the Toppings:
    • Remove the garlic bread from the oven.
    • Spread a generous layer of marinara or pizza sauce over the garlic bread halves.
  • Add the Cheese and Toppings:
    • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
    • Add the grated Parmesan cheese.
    • Arrange the pepperoni slices or any other desired toppings over the cheese.

Step 3: Bake the Pizza

  • Bake the Pizza: Return the topped garlic bread to the oven. Bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden brown.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
    • If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves.
    • Cut into slices and serve hot.
