Ingredients :
For the Steak Bites:
- 1 pound of sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary (or fresh if available)
- For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Préparations :
- Start by preparing the steak bites:
- Season the bite-sized pieces of sirloin steak with salt and black pepper to taste. You can use more or less salt and pepper based on your preference.
- Heat olive oil over medium to high heat in a large frying pan.
2.Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned steak bites to the pan. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan; you may need to cook the steak in batches.
3.Cook the steak bites for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of around 130-135°F (55-57°C). Adjust the cooking time if you prefer your steak more well-done.
4.Remove the cooked steak bites from the pan and set them aside on a plate. Tent the plate with aluminum foil to keep the steak warm.
5.In the same pan, add 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Allow it to melt and sizzle slightly.
6.Add the minced garlic, dried thyme, and dried rosemary to the pan. Sauté the garlic and herbs for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
7.Return the cooked steak bites to the pan with the garlic and herb butter. Toss everything together for another 1-2 minutes to ensure the steak is coated with the flavorful butter sauce. This will also help the steak bites absorb the garlic and herb flavors.
8.While the steak bites are finishing up, prepare the garlic butter sauce:
- In a separate small saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over low heat.
9.Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to brown the garlic.
10.Stir in the chopped fresh parsley and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Continue to cook for another minute or so.
11.Pour the garlic butter sauce over the steak bites in the skillet and give it a final toss to combine.
12.Serve the steak bites with garlic butter immediately, garnishing with additional fresh parsley if desired.
