I’m a little embarrassed by how much I love this dish… but it’s too delicious…

Ingredients :

Ingredient QuantityBoneless, skinless chicken breasts 4Swiss cheese slices 4Deli ham slices 4All-purpose flour 1/2 cupEggs 2, beatenBreadcrumbs 1.25 cupsGrated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cupGarlic powder 1 teaspoonPaprika 1/2 teaspoonSalt & pepper To taste

Préparations :

Prep the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish. Pound each chicken breast thin (about 1/4 inch) between plastic wrap.Assemble: Lay a slice of Swiss cheese and ham on each chicken breast. Roll them up tightly and secure them with toothpicks if needed.Breading Stations: Set up 3 shallow dishes. Fill the first with flour, the second with beaten eggs, and the third with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.Bread the Chicken: Dredge each roll in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, making sure it’s fully coated. Finally, roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently for a good coating. Place the breaded rolls in the baking dish.Bake & Rest: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the breading is golden brown. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.Serve: Enjoy your Chicken Cordon Bleu hot, garnished with fresh parsley if you like. It pairs well with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
