- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: crispy bacon bits, chopped hard-boiled eggs, diced ham
Préparations :
Prepare the Peas: If you’re using frozen peas, thaw them by running them under cold water in a colander. Drain well and set aside.
- Chop Vegetables: Finely chop the red onion and celery. You can adjust the quantities according to your taste preferences.
- Mix Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream or Greek yogurt, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed peas, chopped red onion, chopped celery, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add Dressing: Pour the dressing over the pea mixture and toss gently until everything is evenly coated.
- Chill: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the salad to a sealed container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Serve: Before serving, give the salad a final toss to ensure the dressing is evenly distributed. If desired, garnish with crispy bacon bits, chopped hard-boiled eggs, or diced ham for extra flavor and texture.
