Baked Pork Chops with Potatoes

Ingredients :

  • 4 medium ,pottes thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Préparations :

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the pork chops:
    • Season the pork chops on both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
    • Sear the pork chops for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Prepare the potatoes and Onion:
    • In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced potatoes and onion. Cook for 5-7 minutes until they start to soften.
    • Sprinkle the flour over the potatoes and onions, stirring to coat evenly.
  4. Add the Cream and Broth:
    • Slowly pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
    • Season with additional salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Assemble the Dish:
    • In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer the potatoes and onion mixture evenly on the bottom.
    • Arrange the seared pork chops chops on top of the potatoes.
  6. Bake:
    • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the pork chops are fully cooked and the potatoes are tender.
  7. Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
    • Serve hot, with the creamy potatoes and onions alongside the pork chops.
